BioWin Training in Nebraska – REGISTER NOW!

The Nebraska Water Environment Association is excited to announce that we have partnered with EnviroSim Associates to offer BioWin training as a pre-function course to the Great Plains Waste Management Conference.  The Great Plains Conference is a two-day professional conference with regional presentations from engineering consultants, utilities, and regulatory staff on the topics of wastewater treatment, wastewater collections, stormwater, and regulatory compliance.  BioWin, a leading edge wastewater modeling software, is a great compliment to our mission of providing education opportunities to our members.

The two day “Setting Up Whole Plant Models” BioWin course will run on April 13th-14th, 2020 followed by the conference on April 15th-16th, 2020.  Attendees may attend each individually or both.  EnviroSim, developers and owners of the leading edge wastewater modeling software BioWin, will be providing the training.  This two day course is an efficient way to get new users up to speed or a refresher for existing users and includes training on the following topics:

  • BioWin Familiarization
  • Building a Configuration
  • Upgrade for Nutrient Removal
  • Wastewater Characteristics
  • BioWin Examples
  • BNR Dynamic Performance
  • Modeling of Diffused Aeration Systems
  • Aeration Simulation
  • BioWin Controller Module
  • Secondary Clarifiers
  • Modeling Secondary Clarifiers
  • Solids Treatment Train

Attendees do not need to own a license to BioWin, but will need to bring their own laptop to the training.  The training will be conducted at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Omaha LaVista Hotel & Conference Center where the Great Plains Conference is held.

Registration is being exclusively advertised to the Nebraska Water Environment Association and surrounding WEF MA’s for a limited time basis before it is opened on EnviroSim’s website for anyone to register.  You do not need to be a member of WEF nor NWEA to register for the course.  The class size will be capped at 20 attendees so you are encouraged to register early.  Registration cost is $725.00.  Please note that registering for the BioWin course does not register you for the conference.  Conference registration is not required to participate in the training.
