Opportunities for Innovative Water Governance and Watershed Solutions – Nebraska’s NRDs - Derek Gardels

Nebraska was ahead of the game when it created the Natural Resource Districts in 1972. In this post, I explore whether they could provide scale to smaller water and wastewater utilities to in effect become a watershed utility with a One water focus.

This is simply an idea and I am curious of the perspectives of others on this topic. Lots of details to work out but also an opportunity for really small utilities in rural parts of the state.
